1966 Harmony H-78

This was the " Cadillac " of Harmony's thinline range and was their attempt to crack the professional market and, in particular, compete with Gibson's 335. Many players feel they more than succeeded as it has a far better tonal range than the 335 and is a beautiful instrument with a slim neck and Maximum DeArmond pickups. The cherry sunburst H-78 with Bigsby and the H-77 fixed tailpiece are rarely seen in the UK which would make us suspect that only the light tea sunburst H-75 ( fixed tailpiece ) and H-76 with Bigsby were imported here. There was also a twelve string version, the H-79, with two pickups, very rare and highly regarded.
